As your child navigates through Grade 5, it is essential to prioritise the enhancement of their fundamental learning abilities. Encouraging them to confront any uncertainties, solidify their understanding of key concepts, and concentrate on their individual academic goals and exam techniques will be instrumental in their academic success. This year is dedicated to providing unwavering support for your child as they learn how to manage their time efficiently and develop the necessary skills to excel in pivotal examination components. By harnessing higher-order thinking skills and implementing effective problem-solving strategies, students will be well-equipped to confidently tackle complex and challenging questions.
MATHEMATICS
Duration: 2hrs/lesson
In Grade 5, students will tackle exciting new challenges in Maths. They will encounter more intricate questions spanning various topics and delve into new concepts like Percentages, Volume, and the Rule of Three.
Content Objectives
- Students will deepen their understanding of Fractions and master the four fundamental operations associated with them.
- Students will explore concepts such as the Four Operations of Decimals, Graphs, Rule of Three, Quadrilaterals and Circles, Percentages, Lines and Angles, and Volume to enhance their understanding.
- Students will engage with complex word problems that incorporate the newly introduced topic.
ในระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5, นักเรียนจะเรียนรู้และเผชิญกับความท้าทายใหม่ ๆ ในวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ซึ่งนักเรียนจะได้พบกับโจทย์คำถามที่ซับซ้อนมากขึ้นอาทิเช่น เรื่องเกี่ยวกับ ร้อยละ(เปอร์เซ็นต์), เรื่องการวัดปริมาณและเรื่องบัญญัติไตรยางศ์
วัตถุประสงค์ของเนื้อหา
- นักเรียนจะเข้าใจเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับเศษส่วนมากขึ้นและจะได้ฝึกฝนการดำเนินการทางคณิตศาสตร์ทั้งสี่ประการ (บวก ลบ คูณ หาร) ที่เกี่ยวข้องกัน
- นักเรียนจะได้รับการฝึกฝนเรียนรู้แนวคิดต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการดำเนินการทางคณิตศาสตร์ทั้งสี่ประการ (บวก ลบ คูณ หาร) ของทศนิยม, กราฟ, บัญญัติไตรยางศ์, รูปสี่เหลี่ยมและวงกลม, เปอร์เซ็นต์, เส้นและมุม, ปริมาตร ฯลฯ เพื่อเพิ่มเข้าใจได้มากยิ่งขึ้น

ENGLISH
Duration: 2hrs/lesson
Building on the Grade 4 programme, students will be exposed to a vast array of narratives, non-fiction texts, rhymes, and games in a thoughtfully designed learning environment. Mastery of the language will be deepened through structured approach of creative writing and oral activities.
Content Objectives
- Students will listen to narratives, non-fiction texts and songs.
- Students will participate in a variety of speaking activities, boosting their confidence in using the language.
- In addition to producing a wide range of graphic materials (menus and ingredients, recipes, posters), students will compose a variety of written pieces (autobiographies, diaries, descriptions, short texts, reports, short articles, recounts), all of which will be evaluated in terms of language, organisation and content.
- Students will be progressively introduced synonyms, antonyms and affixes as part of vocabulary expansion. They will learn to pronounce, spell, and use words in meaningful context. Our programme emphasises the acquisition of words that learners find most useful for social and academic communication.
